want to learn melodic solos and riffs similar to the ones in swedish/finnish metal

what lessons on this site would be usefull for teaching me to play solos and riffs from melodic death/power metal bands like arch enemy,children of bodom, sinergy. (favourite guitarists: alexi laiho, michael amott, ruppe latvala)

Ask around in the "Technique and Style" forum, there are plenty of knowledgeable folk who could point you in the right direction. :)

Check out these instructors: Magnus Andersson, Johan Lindgren, Marcus Strand, and Buggas.

Magnus, Marcus, Buggas and Johan are all Swedish and all are into metal.

I am not familiar enough with metal groups to tell you if these instructors are into the exact same style you are asking about, but I bet you will learn quite a lot, and it might be exactly what you asked for.

i thought i posted something yesterday in this thread but its gone :confused:

the basic idea was use harmonic minor scales its a minor scale but with out the flattened 7th
