I'm working on a new song, and yes, I'm planning to make this a proper song with a vocal line (you may soon hear me sing! ). So far, it's just a couple of chord progressions and a few lead ideas, with the working title of "Flat Bee" ('cause it's in B Flat! Geddit? Geddit? ). Anyway, you can check out what I've done so far by following the link in my signature - the song is at the bottom of my playlist on soundclick. All and any comments, thoughts, suggestions, constructive criticisms, death threats etc are welcomed and much appreciated!
So far, I've been thinking of it as turning out to be a Moody Blues/Pink Floyd style gloomy pop song - what do you guys reckon?

(And yes, the sound quality is still atrocious, but bear with me... :o )
"It's all folk music... I ain't never heard no horse sing!"

If at first you don't succeed, you are obviously not Chuck Norris.

Argh - false alarm, everybody. Something has gone wrong with the mp3 file, as any of you who tried to listen to it will have noticed - it turned into three seconds of scrambled rubbish. I may have to re-record it, so you'll be spared my "music" for a little while yet... I'm really sorry about that. :o

I've got some free time today - ought to have the track re-recorded by tonight, so you'll be able to hear it (assuming it doesn't somehow get scrambled again! :o ).

Okay, I finally got the track onto the internet - but to do so, I had to quit Purevolume and start a Soundclick account (long story!). It's titled "Flat Bee (work in progress)" , and it's the only song up there so far. To access it, click on the blue "music" link underneath the title on the Soundclick page I've hyperlinked below.

Here it is - suggestions? Comments? Constructive criticisms? De-constructive criticisms?.

PS: Special thanks to Earthman Buck for directing me to a new wav-mp3 converter. I tried to rep you, mate, but I still need to spread it around - sorry.

Ah... I'll take the enthusiastic response as a sign that it sucks... :o

nah it doesn't suck. It's quite good. Left alone it would be killer video game music. In something intense like Resident Evil or something. You say you might put lyrics to it eh? I'd be interested in hearing it afterward.
