Obviously, one of the best ways to learn guitar is from a proper guitar teacher. I can't afford one (which is why I subscribed to this site) and was wondering what I should do after I'm done with the begginners guide. Should I buy a few books, just stick with the site, or what? Books can teach me some things, but how will I learn about all the different types of guitars and amps?

Thanks.

Well if you paid for the site and you're not yet through the beginner's guide the is so much you haven't seen yet. Stick with the site as your main tool and get some books to supplement what you're learning here. I've been here for going on five years and I still learn something new every week! :)

Yeah, I didn't mean that there wasn't stuff to do on this site (I know there's a lot more) but I don't know exacally where to go (in the site and other tools) after I'm done with the beginners guide.

Depends on what you want to do and what style you want to play. If you wanna be a rock lead guitarist do the lessons on hammer ons and pulloffs, bending, vibrato, tapping, and sweeping. Just go with what you want to learn.

No problem. If it were me I would learn anything and everything. Country, Jazz, Classical, everything it'll help in the long run.
