alright, i found out from a friend that more than likely the bass was manufactured before there were models for epiphone basses and that the model i'm looking at actually predates serial numbers....so it's pretty rare and should be of decent quality.....
though of course any info from any of the resident experts is always appreciated....

I cant help with much, except that it looks like a very old Epi(pre-Gibson), and as such should be of very good quality.
It looks a really nice bass...I imagine its rather rare.
