Actually alot of Catholics in the past didn't't believe in eating meat during all of Lent. Which is a commemoration of Passover in a sense where the Jews escaping from Egypt had only flatbread to eat on thier exodus. So Lent is a 40 day period of "fasting" starting on the day after Mardis Gras or Fat Tuesday. Which is why there is a huge party, you know the last day before Lent they used to have a big feast which as now turned into getting smashed. The 40 days lasts through Easter. These days most Catholics I know just give up one of thier vices such as alcohol, chocolate, sex, whatever they think they should go without for Lent.

saturdays have lost all appeal to me. On saturdays I have to go to work, usually for a majority of the day. During the week, I have to go to school. And I'd rather go to school than work any day!

I wish he could afford things like that. unfortunately a majority of my paycheck goes straight into paying off my car.

but anyway, this is a story for another time. happy day before easter! that's like easter eve!!!!

so dude, last night I was on myspace, and this girl posts this bulliten (I can call her the ex-girlfriend of my friend, or the ex-friend of my ex-girlfriend), saying her mom got her a VIDEO IPOD for easter!!!! I've NEVER gotten material things for easter, I get candy and that's it! wtf!

I've always gotten a CD for easter... well since I was about 10. I still decorate eggs, and i'm going to when I get home. :cool:

Hey well, technically easter is a more important Christian holiday then Christmas...

Speaking of nothing: z0s0, it was Moses and the Hebrews who wandered through the wilderness for 40 years after escaping the pharaoh. Christ supposedly wandered in the wilderness for forty days, obviously there are parallels, but, hell, the man died at 36, there's no way he could have wandered anywhere for 40 years.

Well, There are Christian Jews-people of the Jewish race. People who now are of the Jewish Religion just don't believe he's come yet-they're still waiting. So Jesus was one of the Jewish race.
