hi marc
i have a diagram from off the net,i cant remember which site it was but it just has the outlines of the componants on the circuit board,it dosnt tell me what each componant is or its value,
im hoping that this is why my sons guitar isnt working,i have wired everything up the same as eric claptons strat,i cant see where else it could be wrong,
i have seen pictures on the net of the curcuit and it does have resisters in them but the one we have dosnt, and i cant make out the colour bands of them from the pictures that i have found,i just hope that this is why it isnt working, thankyou for your reply,lynnjayjay1@aol.com :)

I found a ' fender Eric Clapton mid boost kit ' at GuitarElectronics.com - active electronics - electric guitar pre-amps. But couldn't find a diagram, however you could contact them ?

Hi Pantera, all is not lost, you might well recieve a reply after the Easter holiday OR you could Guess ! - the size of the resistors, if you have a selection of them, but it does your head in when you have to keep removing and replacing the scratchboards - I'm not that clear how active tone controls work, but i've got some time to kill and i'm goin' to surf the net.

hi grambo
thankyou i really do appreciate your help, and yes it is really doing my head in,i just really feel for my son,he keeps looking at his guitar and i think hes been really patient, but omg hes spent so much money on it,i used to work for the MOD so im used to pc boards, wiring, and soldering ect,but its like trying to get something from the fbi lol,if i knew someone with a eric clapton strat with active mid boost id open it and have a look lol but i dont,i dont have a load of resistors to try in the board, when i find out what they are i have got to go buy them and put them in for him,
anyway thankyou for surfing to try finding out,i been surfing for about 3 weeks lol,pantera5555

Also listed is a: Strat w/Clapton mid boost & TBX, it has an 82Kohm resistor, but you'll need to have a look
