Help With Valveking Head

Ok, this must be the most stupid question in GT history. I got my long awaited Peavey ValveKing head this morning and i can't turn it on! serious. I pluged it to the cab (i think not quite sure how to do it) and switched the power. I left it a while to warm up, pluged in my guitar and switched it off standby. And.... i got no sound at all. The tubes haven't blown (im pretty sure) becuase they still glow and warm up. Im really confused and POed
