Gl guitars are awesome (yes, its not "and"). As stated, the compant was started by Leo Fender and George Fullerton shortly after Leo recovered after selling Fender to Cbs because of health worries.

I like them lots...check out the Comanche for a really different pickup setup, but ohh so nice...The Asat is nice too

and for anyone with monatary constraints, Gl also make the Tribute series, which I fiound every bit as sweet as an American Fender...(atleast the strat styled Tributes are as nice as Us Strats...not sure about the rest)
