Ok, I'm going to cut to the chase. The game I was playing was Shadow of the Collosus so if you're playing it or want to play it and don't want to ruin the end, then don't read the next paragraph.

Anyway, I buested the game out and went ahead and trounced the remaining collosi in the game over the weekend and saw what could only be described as the conclusion. And to say the least it was stupid. The main character turns into a baby. His dead girlfriend is revived and she finds her boyfriend as a baby. So she picks the baby up and walks around. That's the premise of it. At least that's what I got out of it since there's very little dialogue in the entire game and the end just sort of happens. I dunno, maybe I missed something, but if I did then I'd sure like to know what the hell it was because the guy turns into a baby? What the hell kind of explanation is there for that?

It'd be wrong if she hooked up with the baby... well later on.

Pretty much every Final Fantasy has a crappy ending. Most notably X and X-2. Those were just plain lame.

I find Mario games to have the worst endings.

I haven't played any computer games in a couple of years, but I remember I used to have this game called Heretic II. It was quite hard, but then I got to the last level, which I found literally impossible. The main bad guy who you're supposed to assassinate has locked himself inside this force-field thing, which is powered by a number of magical books (it's fantasy). The idea is, you have to go around his castle searching for a bunch of switches; each switch closes one of the books, and once all the books are closed, the force field goes down and you can kill the bad dude. I think I managed to find two or three of the switches, but the rest eluded me. I did everything I could - I read internet game walkthroughs, I brought friends over to help me search for them, I even used a cheat which lets you walk through walls, but I still couldn't find the other switches, and have no idea where they are to this day! Would anybody happen to have played (or, better yet, finished) this evil, frustrating game by any chance?

I haven't played any computer games in a couple of years now, but I remember I used to have this old fantasy role-playing game called Baldur's Gate. It was really cool, with great action and a really interesting plot (well...more interesting than Mariokart, anyway). The ending was an enormous let-down. At the beginning of the story, you learn that you're an orphan; well, guess what? At the end of the story, you learn that the main evil dude is your father! I mean seriously, I'd have thought that people who write intricate fantasy plots for a living could do a little better than copying the twist from The Empire Strikes Back...

I'm so sick of those stupid Mario sport games. Mario Baseball, Mario Tennis, Mario Kart, Mario this, Mario that. For the love of God I remember when Mario actually had adventure games. Sure the plot was all pretty much the same, but still. And all those Mario Party games. Christ, we get it already. Mario throws a lot of parties and they get boring fast.

I never play games myself, but with the assistance of numerous cheats, I've beat twisted metal 2 eith every character. Now if you want to talk crappy endings....DAMN YOU CALYPSO!!!

Oh, I hate it when game developers do that - turn a good kids' game into a dodgy adult one. Remember Conker's Bad Fur Day? That was just terrible.
