Im kinda at the forefront of this thing here in Arizona. I dont think building a fence across the border is the solution. Plenty of people immigrate to the US from other countries every day legally. They should stop beating around the bush and just say "we dont want MEXICANS jumping the border to the US since their country sucks". Because they obviously arent talking about Canadians in this issue (except maybe a few of you ;) ).
