Where are the guitar heroines?

Here they are - well, the shred heroines, anyway.

If at first you don't succeed, you are obviously not Chuck Norris.

the girls that i know that play guitar (ok they range from age 16 to 25) get caught up in playing more pop music kinda stuff, but in all honesty, without being sexist this is what i think...

Guys are good at doing one thing and concentrating on it really hardcore and stuff, if they loose interest they loose interest pretty majorly, however you get those awesome guitarists that never lost interest.

Girls multitask so they're used to doing loads of different things, so i've never seen a girl stay at home and play scales and songs instead of go out with friends or do something else, guitar is like a fraction of a girls life imo, guitar is about all of my life (apart from say the gym, but that's more like maintenance).

That's just imo, there are always the exceptions. and perhaps it is a society expectation thing, but imo it is a biological thing too.

Your being to hard on yourself.

I am sure you can you play better than Joan Jett? (to make sure we keep this thread in line) :D

I don't know about that - but I think I might be a little better than Fred Durst :D.

Anyway, back on topic, I found Jennifer Batten's album, Above, Below and Beyond in the second-hand CD shop today - quite good.
