2. You can also skip (1), or after (1), try to play as many songs as you can get, learn to read tabs, get tabs. Here you will start developing you picking/struming technique and not to forget your fingering.
3. If you wanted to learn lead, learn rythm first. Get as may as power chords you can get and tabs of rythm. Then, while mastering this slowly, you can start learning lead guitar but you must start improving your fingering technique too.
4. Pratice your listnening ability, such as to copy chords or solos directly from any media to your ear. This is of course the hardest part. How do you recognize the roots of any chords or scales in a song or solos or rythm. How you can differ the bass sound and the guitar sound.
