..and I have been playing acoustic guitar for seventeen years (sounds like an AA introduction! :p)

I have been using the net for a number of years, and thought I came across all the guitar forums.

SO you can imagine I was shocked to discover this place hidden away in Google!!

I'm considering signing up for some lessons; although I have been playing guitar for ages, I am still VERY much learning, and am hungry for new techniques. I want to discover as much as I can about my guitar.

Is this a primarily an Electric guitar site? Are there lessons aplenty in the acoustic category?

BTW, my style. It's Folk, with a little classical English and Celtic thrown in too. I am also willing to experiment (and also recently discovered Tommy Emmanuel and Phil Keaggy)

Nice to meet you all. :)

Welcome buddy. :D
For life is quite absurd and death's the final word, You must always face the curtain with a bow
Forget about your sin - give the audience a grin
Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow.

Welcome to the GT forum! There are lessons and tutorials here for any style you can think of.

You can start by looking at the "By Style" list at the top of the left sidebar, and clicking on the first item. Acoustic, of course.

Welcome to the boards. Nobody knows who I am, so you've got me beat already.
You go outside and practice screaming. We'll play music while you're gone.
