on the c note (1st fret, second string) every time i play has an annoying, twanging sound every time i play.the strings are new and this is the only note this happens on. is there any way i can solve this?

Since it only happens at one place, on just one string, I suspect that your frets need to be leveled. There may be a small high spot that touches the string, making it buzz. A luthier or a guitar tech can handle this for you.
