Normally I'd say a bend, but in the case it's probably a hammer on and pull-off...although there is the possibility that it's a whammy bar trick. Listen to the song and see if it's a hammer-on and pull-off

Yeah... tabs are pretty unreliable unless you have the recording in front of you.
There's no standardized set of symbols so everybody does em differently.
I've never seen that one though. Like Jolly says, it's probably a hammer-on and then a pull-off cause that's about the only thing that makes sense with those notes.

If you listen to the song, you should be able to figure it out. Either a bend or a ho-po, big difference in sound there. Although I will pretty much guarantee it's a ho-po. Tee hee...ho-po...
You go outside and practice screaming. We'll play music while you're gone.

What song is it?
For life is quite absurd and death's the final word, You must always face the curtain with a bow
Forget about your sin - give the audience a grin
Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow.

I've only ever seen that symbol used for whammy antics, but like the other posters said, it could be a bend / hammer / tap / god knows....
Best to listen to the tune...

Most likely it is a hammer on and pull off, because you can't really bend an open string.

im thinking it could be a bend at the headstock behind the nut. or like everybody says, a hammer/pull or a tremolo bar pull.
