any recommondations

so.. i have recently been getting my feet wet with bee bop jazz, does any body have any recomondations as to who i should listen to? also i heard the other day this really cool guitar player but i didnt know who he was, but i know he used a slide like crazy, if that sounds familliar, please let me know

Wes Montgomery is the best jazz guitar player ever in my opinion.
