The Alesis looks okay, but you might want something with an expression pedal. I have a Digitech RP80, which I love to death; a bit more expensive, but worth every dollar and then some. The Behringer X V-AMP also has an expression pedal, is a bit cheaper, and has more amp models than the Digitech, but doesn't have as many modulation effects.
