I wouldnt say that to his face... apparantly he quit Nitro to focus on fighting for a living (submission wrestling like the UFC).
I think BAttio has some excellent guitar techniques but probably only one decent track, "No Boundaries". The over-under technique is a load of bull, just a flashy way of playing something that's easy to play with your hand in one position. As far as the double guitar neck thing goes, I think it sounds terrible. That seemed to be the thing that got him noticed but the runs he plays with both hands on separate necks are all very uncomplicated and simple.
There's a post in one of the other forums here with a video clip of a Chinese guy playing two guitars with very technical music, now THAT was impressive.
My advice to BAttio is to go back to the drawing board and focus on music more along the lines of No Boundaries .... OR.... become the lead guitarist in a band and take musical direction. Like when Marty Friedman was with Megadeth (if you don't think he needed direction check out Dragon's Kiss - not that great at all, but "Rust in Peace" was and still is a classic), he would record a solo and Mustain would either say "yes" or "no". (Marty Friedman though is in a different league when it comes to musical ability - his more recent solo work is brilliant). If Battio was in that situation, I think he would get noticed again for his guitar playing.
And another thing, he needs to change his image! Look at Vai, Satriani, Petrucci etc, they reinvent themselves on a regular basis. The 80's timewarp went out in the '80's! Don't get me wrong, I think his Speed Kills dvd is excellent and I love No Boundaries... but I think he could do with a tough manager and maybe ditching the circus tricks in favour of quality music.
