I have a Pod Xt live and have had it for almost 7months or so...maybe a lil more maybe less.

It was all great, and played so nicely, until Sunday...
I turned it on...and moved immediately to my favoutrite setting...pressed the footswitch, and a message came up, claiming that the chosen setting contained an amp model or effect that I didnt own(I presume if was the effect on that setting, because when I press the "stomp" footswitch, the sick flange I used to have is gone)...what does this mean? did the Pod come with some effects package as a demo that I now need to buy? can I download what I had?

It does this for many of the settings I have created, and I'm kinda pissed off about it...anyone have any suggestions or know what to do?

have you got line 6 monkey downloaded ?

You can use it to check the authorization for the model packs you have. The XTL comes with the FX-junkey pack which is probably the problem. Hiowever it could also be a sign of bad flash memory..or not. Do you have the latest firm-were installed ? Line6 monkey will do all this for you also.

Also when you turn on the XTL you should see the installed packs displayed as the machine wakes up.

If all else fails give Line6 a call. I'd not use the forum or the FAQtrack as they both suck.

thanks Dr...I dont have line6 Monkey...what is it, where can I get it, and how.

I have not downloaded any new stuff for my Pod...how would I do this.
I also have a feeling it is the Fx Junkie pack playing up...but any idea how I would go about fixing it?

Please lemme know...thanks.

You can get the Line 6 Monkey from the line 6 website. All it is, is a utility that checks your POD and checks line 6 for any new updates/firmware/etc... and it will automatically download and install them.
