yeah, there has been suggestions about a bass section here... but the thing is, this is a Guitar tricks site, not a Bass tricks. i dont know if anything has actually been brought into conciteration, but if you need anything bass related, there are some people in the forum who can help you.

Everything about bass, and bass players, is bigger, and therefore better, than guitar and it's players. And if you play both, you're just better than anyone.
You go outside and practice screaming. We'll play music while you're gone.

I guess it's a shame that you avoid playing your bass at all costs then, huh?

I was gonna do some bass lessons at one time but I didn't think anybody would be interested.
I wouldn't mind seeing some lessons on how to pop strings too. Never could get that technique down.

How to pop strings:
1.) Tune up.
2.) Once the string is tuned to the desired note, keep turning the tuning peg. Tension on the string will build.
3.) Keep going.
4.) Keep going.
5.) The string will pop.

I can slap a bit.

I think the trick is to start on the E sting (as it is the easiest) and work upwards as you get better. I can go as far D now (on a good day).

The other thing is that you also have to resist the temptation to give the string a really good tonk !

Oh yes I think round wound strings also help a lot.
My instructors page and www.studiotrax.net for all things recording.

I been considering getting a bass. Tim Commerford (sp?) has some pretty sweet riffs. I always like the bass of funk and stuff. Gt should make a bass section in place of the recently departed tab section.

Although it may seem like a real hoot and perhaps you even feel that the entire internet community and the world in general has a desire to get a glimpse into your personal conversations and banter, that may, in fact, not be true. Especially when you two are probably sitting right next to each other and could easily save yourselves the hassle of typing up "witty" remarks and just say them out loud.
... and that's all I have to say about that.

It is a hoot. The entire internet does want to read them. We are not sitting next to each other, we're seperated by a full prson. It's no hassle. And take the quotes off the "witty". Oh, and we don't say them out loud, that would be a waste of time and a hassle. And I don't think the whole room wants to hear them.
You go outside and practice screaming. We'll play music while you're gone.
