Referencing the book mentioned above, it says to fret the 1st and 17th frets. You might also just stick a capo on the 1st so you don't have to keep holding it down. And relief measurements vary by guitar models, but range from .004" to .012". In addition you'll need to readjust bridge saddles for action and intonation.
