Yeah I can see that. When I first started to play I would listen to a song and think how hard it must be to play... Then I learned to paly it and I kind of lost that bit of respect... Also, songs that are suppose to be hard and fast don't seem so hard or fast after I learn them. My brain is able to hear the song much better since I know exactly what is being played... So the song seems to be played slower... That annoys me sometimes when I'm in the mood to listen to something hard and fast and I can't find a song that I don't know... That's why I'm real into independent music and bands that aren't really big... I haven't really learned any songs in awhile. Me and a friend have a two piece acoustic act that we do with a lot of looping and stuff. We cover some songs but we change them completely... We do a pretty cool version of Folsom Prison Blues by Johnny Cash. It's more upbeat... It's fun to play songs like that so you can still respect the original version for what it is.
