I've found that if you go looking for a serious relationship and try hard to make it all work out... things never seem to fall into place and you never quite get what you want out of it... Now, on the otherhand... I have also foudn that the best things happen when you least expect it. It seems like when I finally tell myself I'm just gonna chill out and be single some great oppertunity comes along that I never even would have noticed. So like Akira said... just play it cool. Don't quite put yourself in the notorious friend zone... and don't get so attactched that you set yourself up to get hurt. just play it cool with her and all the while be ready for other oppertunities...
