Painting my Tele???

I'd like to get a custom paint job done on my Tele. Its wine red with a black pickgaurd right now. I was hoping to get something that works off of that.

1) Need some ideas. Not sure if I want a design or a picture or what.

2)Will air-brushing paint change the sound or character ( other than looks ) of the guitar?

as long as it's sealed, or a non-porous wood, I don't see how painting it will affect the sound at all..

I'd also first try something out on the back of any cheap guitar you have first, to see if it'll work before accidentally destroying the finish on the front of your main axe. not saying it will, but you never know..

I'm going to have a Pro do it. I want it to look good. something that stands out, thats different.

oh, well, in that case, more power to you! I can't tell you what to get on it, since I don't know you. but put something on it that means alot to you as an individual. kinda like a tattoo

Why don't you have "Tele Master" painted onto it in big, colourful, graffiti-style lettering? That would be pretty cool.
