Even gothic techno sucks, for the most part. Although there is this stuff called "IDM" (Intelligent Dance Music) that's really unorthodox and interesting.

Four Tet, Telefon Tel Aviv, Squarepusher... look 'em up on Limewire. You wouldn't hear this kind of stuff in 98% of clubs unless it was full of overeducated European bohemians or something.
