I just bought an Eagles cd so I have been listening to that a lot.
The greatest enemy to what you can know, is what you already know.

It's not how good you play, its how well you play it.

The great Joe Satriani called him 'beyond amazing'.
The great me calls him 'beyond human capabilities'.
For life is quite absurd and death's the final word, You must always face the curtain with a bow
Forget about your sin - give the audience a grin
Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow.

On my mp3 player, I've got Pink Floyd (as always :) ), George Benson, Megadeth, Return to Forever, Switchfoot, Albert King, QueensRYCHE (*glares at Earthman's brother*), Iron Maiden, The Third Bend (a friend's band), Wes Montgomery, Voivod, A Perfect Circle, Freddie King, Blue Oyster Cult, Coheed and Cambria, Dick Dale and his Del-Tones, Eric Johnson, Fatboy Slim, Al Jarreau, Hirax, Invertigo, Jimi Hendrix, Lamb of God, Liquid Tension Experiment, Machine Head, the Mahavishnu Orchestra, Metallica, Paul Gilbert, Nine Inch Nails, Peter Pan Speedrock, and a live recording of Jimmy Page, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, SRV, Eric Johnson and Allan Holdsworth playing "Little Wing".

Shostakovich is on high rotation on my CD player, but I've also been listening to the most recent Shadows Fall album, which is brilliant!

Sorry to answer my own question, btw :o

I agree - undoubtedly one of their best songs, and Slash's solo towards the end is his finest IMO in terms of emotion and fitting the song. The song always gets overshadowed by November Rain, which can't hold a candle to it IMO.

At the moment in time I am listening to "Seasons to Cycles" by 10 Years... I've been pretty into them since I picked up their album when it came out a couple months ago. Good stuff... very Tool'ish... yet very different...
