New Guitar and Amp!
yeh, finally after lots of research and decision making, I have ordered my new guitar and amp. Gibson les paul studio (as planned) and Peavey Valveking stack (100% tube). I will post some pics when they come.

I definetly want to know as well, I was given an old Peavey Classic 20 a week ago and that thing is sweet!!!!!!

Those Classic 20's are definitely some sweet little amps. I've got a PV Classic 50, and it's a great amp as well. It's great for pretty much anything you want to play.

haha, tone report? ive never done one. :D but yea, i don't really know how good it is yet. I was going to get a Marshall DSL100 but i decided on this one because it's alot cheaper. so tell me ... how do you do tone reports?

Ok, first off, set all the tone knobs to 12 o'clock (straight up). Leave them there for a while, and adjust only the volume and gain settings. Describe how it sounds like this. Now, go crazy with everything else and let us know how it sounds. Things to make note of... what styles could it be used for, what style is it suited for best, what guitar and cab are you using with it, etc... This will be your initial reaction to the amp. Go back and do the same thing over again after a week or so, after you've become more familiar with it, and let us know how you feel about then (if anything has changed, i.e. you find some tones you didn't initially run by).
Basically, just tell us what you think about the amp, and how it sounds ;)

me = :mad: i opened my parcel yesterday to find a guitar and a cab. I thought 'sh*t, where the head?' turns out the head has been back ordered and i won't be recieving it till march 30th so im a bit angry. I still had a blazing time on the guitar though :D
