Traditionally, my lead guitar style has been quite controlled and lyrical. Lately, however, as my fluency has been improving, I've been subconsciously picking up speed and throwing in finger-tapping lines - I'm turning into a shredder! I used to play nice, mellow jazz and blues; now, I sound like the bastard child of Kirk Hammett and Robben Ford! I was wondering whether anyone had any tips to help me slow down and feel the music.

- Attributed variously to Leadbelly and Louis Armstrong

If at first you don't succeed, you are obviously not Chuck Norris.
