I like Paul, he has a wonderful voice, but is he humble? I read an interview with him, and he seemed quite arrogant...
My vote goes to Bruce.

Blaze Bailey......

Ha, jk. Bruce most definitely. I dont really care for much of Maiden's stuff when Paul was with them. Theres a few good songs, but nothing to the capacity of Bruce's work with Maiden.

DICKENSON!!!

Nobody could sing the line:

'Somebody please tell me that Iā€™m dreaming
Itā€™s not so easy to stop from screaming
But words escape me when I try to speak'

better than the man.
For life is quite absurd and death's the final word, You must always face the curtain with a bow
Forget about your sin - give the audience a grin
Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow.

What about Blaze?

Bruce by a hair. Just holds some of the notes a bit more solidly.
I want the bomb
I want the P-funk!

My band is better than yours...

I'm not a huge fan of that era, the production is horrendous. But Futureal is a pretty sweet song anyhow.

Exactly. But Paul did have a great voice, and personally, I don't think Bruce's version of "Wrathchild" could ever match Paul's. Nonetheless, I voted for Bruce.

i liked the variation in paul's singing.."prodigal son" -----"running free"-----"remember tomorrow"----"phantom of the opera" ...bruce grinded on me after six song's in a row of extreme opera vibrato------paul had more soul IMO

Bruce's voice is much better for Maiden's fantasy epics and gothic ballads, but Paul had a slightly "punky" quality that was great for more aggressive numbers. It's just a pity that he was an alcoholic.

true .....i don't think paul would have done well on the powerslave album-----i think he could have done # of the beast as well as bruce("run to the hills" by bruce can't be touched though)----piece of mind ......maybe a few he could have done alright on......."die with your boots on"--------"22 accacia avenue" on # of the beast i think paul could have rocked

Yeah, it would've been nice to see Paul continue the saga of Charlotte the Harlot. One song of Bruce's that I reckon Paul would do a better job on is "Holy Smoke". I love it, but Bruce sounded a bit puffy and wheezy trying to give his voice an "edge" - Paul, who has a natural "edge" in his voice, would've sounded great.

bruce destroys paul! hes done everything that paul has and more, bruce has more range than alot of the metal singers, and if you want to hear bruce do gruff vocals, check out fear of the dark, or no prayer for the dying, they have some pretty burly bruce vocals in them. try to imagine paul doing rock in rio!? the energy that bruce displays just wouldnt be there.
also , blaze bailey has an incredibly dark voice, that no one will be able match. the x factor album has grown to be one of my favorites too.(next to somewhere in time).
