Well at least the check writing crap has stopped since they introduced debit cards. You just knew when you were in a hurry that some idiot ahead of you would want to write a check... so it'd be a call to the manager, a long wait while somebody went to find him, then a long wait while the check was written and the I.D. checked, then authorized... and the 'special' key inserted in the till... then a final signature on the receipt...then some people actually had the nerve to make you wait even longer while they finished putting the entry in their checkbook and calculated their balance.
