JFrick: Not really your fault and I understand it wasn't racial. I wouldn't however post anything to do with race unless I was defending someone. I don't just defend my race either. There was a thread where I had a go at 6strngs for some comments about Asians. I think it diminishes you as a human being if there is anything that bothers you about a certain race, Especially in America where we have no identity. I'm sure the world views us as white. Every President and diplomat we've ever had was white. However anyone who lives here know Americans are black. white, brown, asian, indian, etc. We are the world. Fighting amongst ourselves over something as tactless as color of skin over content of character is outright stupidity and will be our downfall. Has it come so far where we cant handle pushing 1 for English and 2 for Spanish? God, I hope not. The essential fabric on which our country was founded was that ALL men are created equal. If we as the young generation cannot adhere to that value then why do we continue to live? Should we pass these ideas to our children to have them continue the mistakes we as a society has made for hundreds of years. When does it end. It is a bit idealistic to believe it can end with us. However if we can convince a few people like stackny to be more tolerant then we have succeeded. Because he will pass his values to his kids and so on and so on until the idea of racism is stricken from our vocabulary. Will it take time? Sure it will but it is a goal that requires our full attention. Once we get over that hill humanity can focus on the important thing. Keeping our species alive. Killing eachother over egocentric political and religious agendas needs to be eradicated or the future of humanity is doomed.
