Hi.

I bought an EMG-81 and en EMG-89. I have been doing some soldering before, so I thought this assignment would be an easy one. I guess I was wrong... :(

I have been searching the Internet without any real luck. So I began on my own. Now there is sound, but both pickups is on all the time.
I made this schematic of my "faulty" setup.

What have I done wrong?!

Another reason to hate emg's. I'm sorry I just feel the con's outweigh the pro's. If your sure you can't figure it out I'd take it to a shop. I won't touch emg's myself so I can't tell you what you're doing wrong. I will suggest you take 'em back and get a JB or a Dimebucker, the Invader's are nice.

EMG has wiring diagrams on their website. I wired a 81/85 into my Jackson myself using these diagrams. If I can do it, you can too.
I am a constant evolving music machine. Oh Man, I just forgot what I was playing. Oh well, on to the next song.

I just don't like'em. Having to change batteries and they over power the tone of your guitar. To each their own.
