Unfortunately I've never seen any drumming forums (or any other forums) quite like this one. I'm a member of the pearl drummers forum which has a very similar setup since it's also powered by vBulletin. Though it's designed very much alike there are some danger zones I find should be mentioned.

1. There are far more members there than there are here and threads move incredibly fast, so if you post a thread you'll get a response soon, but within an hour that thread's on the 5th page and part of history.

2. The moderators (insert cold, shuddering noise here). The moderators are quite possibly the poorest excuse for moderators. They claim to have rules for the forums and they even went to lengths to type rules out, but in no size, shape, or form have I ever seen any of them enforced.

3. The community. The people themselves really aren't that bad... the regulars anyway, but because of the moderators' enforcing (or lack thereof) there are alot of screw offs that seem to show up just as much and pride themselves in just being general jerks for no reason other than to just be jerks.

4. The Slipknot influence... it's there... need I say more?

Apart from that, there are plenty of drummers that are there and can answer questions, but if you've got a better lead then I'd be quick to support that. On a side note, the reputation points are like a currency there or something. Pretty much every post I made I got a reputation point.

Here's a link to the forum if you wish to check it out.

Also, on a side note. There's really not any designated area for discussing drum technique or anything.

Whatever you do, don't eat limes. A friend of mine ate a lime once and BAM!! Two years later. Herpes.

I would have to say this one's much better than my suggestion.

Yeah, I don't really go there very often anymore... and by that, I mean I don't. Flat out don't.

Meh, life.

Yeah... Something mature like Jolly McJollyson.
