Ya, it's cool. Definately needs a backing track, and a drumbeat to help keep you in rythm. Besides that, I wasn't close to that after my first 5 months. Keep working at it, you've obviously got potential be be a great player.

sounds like a computer mic.

where are you micing your guitar? right up on the amp or far away from it?
cuz comp mics arnt the highest in quality, so you cant afford to mic it any farther than a foot from the amp. with a comp mic, i'll usually put the mic right up on the speaker. not too much hissing that way.

hmm. how loud was your amp?

if it was quiet when you recorded it, and you cranked the volume of it on the computer, that would explain the hissing.

and what you mean by foam stuff?

yer thats what i did, the foam stuff is like a hollow ball of foam that is covering the plastic case that the mic is in, it might be there to stop moisture or sumthing

hmm, yeah next time, i'd take off the foam stuff, put it right up on the speaker, but near the edje kinda.

like if this is the speaker....with the parenthesis being the middle,

--------( )--------
__||
youd want the mic like about there. or same place, opposite side.

get it?

and also, crank the volume as much as you can without annoying neighbors or family members. some professional recorders wouldnt recomend this, but ive found from extensive computer mic recording, its the only way to go.
