I think I accidentally stumbled across a jazz scale or a piece of a scale while messing around on some backing tracks. I was soloing in A flat. What scale is this?

Ab major I assume? So Ab was your root?

D-E-F-G-A-B-C-D-E-F-G-A-B-C-D-E-F

Yeah, that's one exotic scale.

A-B-C-D-E-F-G-A

Looks like Anatural Minor to me. Not sure how that sounded over an Ab backing...check that, I'm pretty sure of how that sounded over an Ab backing.

yeah over Ab that would sound pretty dissonant.

Ab-Bb-C-Db-Eb-F-G-Ab

There's Abmajor. The only common notes are C, F, and G

Lemme go back and check if thats what I was playing or not....It definitely fit the way I was playing it.

The Harmonic Analysis should be done in the context of the rest of the piece.
It could well be any of the Diatonic Modes.
If the Tonic is "A" then it will be " A aeolian".
If the Tonic is D then it will be "D dorian"; etc.
Someday I`ll play like in my dreams.
