What are your aspirations? career? life goals? personal goals?

..two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could...

I am going to the fridge to get a beer.
My aspiration is to drink it.
My life goal is to drink many, many more.

So long as music is involved in my career I really don't think I'll care. Most of all I'd like to be a typical touring band. Y'know, write stuff, record it, play it live. See the world and enjoy good music along the way. Meet musicians I like, hopefully some of my own heros in music. That ol' fable.

I'm in grade 11, and I'll tell you, this question's been nagging me for month's. Hmm...maybe I'll just do as Schmange does. :D

Where ever I am going I am more than half way there.. maybe closer to 2/3rds. And I am certainly not in a hurry to get there..

Most of my asperations and goals in life I have hit. Or I have found out my limitations ( like not being able to spell)

But I have a couple left..

Get my business going well enough so I can give it to my sons and retire..
Sail the east coast with my wife and guitar in hand. Just for the enjoyment.

I guess there is no more what do I want to be when I grow up.. I am grown up.. So I am what I am, just Popeye the Sailorman...

What more can one want than:
Unconditional love
A decent humbucker Les paul type guitar
A decent strat type guitar
an ear for pitch
a band
a good 100 watt marshal tube amp
people to listen
free beer.

Yeah. What he said (except with Schmange spelled right).

[QUOTE=Akira]I'm probably going no where. *sigh*

Oh yes. What he said, too.

I saw a shirt once... it read "No Job, No Money.... But atleast I'm in a band!". Happiness is in the eye of the beholder... Ben Franklin once said "Do something you love and you will never have to WORK a day your life" I kind of live by that... Surround yourself with people you enjoy doing something you love and you cant go wrong... No amount of money can replace a lifetime of happiness... Now that I'm done be philosphpical...

I want to finish out my degree at Purdue University... Get hired on full time with the company that I currently am Interning for... Which is DuPont International... Once I get hired on full time I will get to choose my place of employment so I will probably choose some place warm... or someplace outside the US. Maybe England... Or Japan... After working there for 5-10 years I'll come back to the US, probably back to Indiana...and grow old and retire happy at a young age (45-50)... with a very large collection of guitars and amps... and I will probably open my own studio in Indianapolis with a friend that is currently going to school at the Musicians Institute. Sounds like a good plan to me...

My aspirations change every few years it seems. Now I've got my sites set on an MBA, but gaining skill in the guitar has been a consistent goal for 5 years now for me.
Blues is easy to play, but hard to feel.

I'm currently getting my B.S. in Construction at ASU. I've got a paid internship lined up for this coming summer with a large construction firm. Hopefully if that goes well, they'll offer me a full-time position for after i graduate. Grad school is unlikely. Unfortunately, guitar will likely only remain a hobby. Maybe when I'm done with school i'll have some more time to take some lessons again. Only time will tell.

These are my plans exactly :)
The greatest enemy to what you can know, is what you already know.

It's not how good you play, its how well you play it.
