I saw Hostel the night it came out... and needless to say I was dissappointed. I went in expecting there to be all these scenes of people torturing people and there being such a large amount of blood and gore that it would make out to be a decent horror flick... It reminded me a lot of Saw 1 and 2 because both of them seemed like they were going to be scary but they ended up being more of a thriller than horror movie. I'm not going to give away anything about the movie... but if you pay attention to the trailers you already know whats going to happen anyway... The first 30-40 minutes of the movie is nothing but 3 guys partying... there is no violence whatsoever in the first half of the movie... and its a short movie at that... There are only 2 or 3 scenes of torture throughout the movie... but there are some pretty sweet deaths in the final sequence of the film... I would reccommend it to anyone who liked saw 1 and 2... and to anyone that wants to see a movie but doesn't want to watch what is currently out... otherwise don't waste the 20 dollars for you and a date... and rent it in two months. I would have to say that the biggest draw to the film was the fact that Tarentino put his stamp of approval on it by co-producing it...
