Hi,

I'm thinking to buy an Epiphone G-1275 Custom (Gibson SG double neck copy).

Any reviews you could give to me?

The store doesn't have it on stock so I can't try it.

This will not be my primary guitar.

I would suggest looking at harmonycentral.com for reviews or maybe musicians friend. I've never played a double neck myself but I've always thought that they look really cool.
I am a constant evolving music machine. Oh Man, I just forgot what I was playing. Oh well, on to the next song.

Try it before you buy it! As cool as it may look, if you've never played it I recommend not buying it. I was going to buy one of those a while ago..keyword.."was". I tried it out in the store and didn't much like it. It played fine, but after playing it for a while I really thought, "what am I going to use this for?"

yeah, as tele said, its sort of an awkward instrument. pretty heavy, and its hard to get around to the 6 stringed bottom guitar. but everyone loves seeing someone playing one, and its sort of a bragging right to whoever owns it- they can say, "well look at your measly little guitar- AND LOOK AT MY DOUBLE NECKED GUITAR!"

yeah. so if your in it for the show, thats a great thing to get. buttt, if your in it for home use or for recording.... probably not an exactly useful buy.

(its a pretty sweet looking guitar tho, isnt it? :D )

..and if your just gonna play on one neck then why not just buy either a 12 or 6 string guitar? The worst thing though is having something wicked cool and them someone else comes and plays it way better than you...haha.

Forgot to say I have a Hagstrom '65 12 strings electric solid body and an American Telecaster. I was tired to switch guitars on jams but you convinced me to keep my money for maybe a Rickenbacker, a Gretch or....

I'd buy a Gretch if I had $3000 laying around. A really sweet one, I'm not familiar with the models, I just know which ones by the body styles.
