Hi,
My band are called Neon Lights - we are from the UK, and are desperate for feedback, all is welcomed. We are a fusion of many a rock/punk/metal genre, though we like to brand it Neon-Rock (until we get a clearer picture anyway lol)

Check us out at:

Many thanks people,

Vagabond Futures sounded like Tool kinda. I didn't care for the lead guitar playing the same note over and over. Overall it's a 3.5.

No Tomorrow was more of a rock and roll track. The lead is better on this track. I'll give it a 4.

Headrush starts off alright then the lead starts playing the same note over and over again. 2.5

Those are the tracks I listened to. You guys sound good, just mix that lead up.
I am a constant evolving music machine. Oh Man, I just forgot what I was playing. Oh well, on to the next song.

Although it's not my style of music I thought all the songs were well done. I especially liked "Words".......neat lead guitar in that one.

I gotta say, it's catchy. I like the singer. The licks are good, but I think become a little repetitive, as they're repeated a little to much.

The vocal style of "Neon Lights" sounded almost like it was the guy from Finger Eleven.... The song started out sounding a little jumpy with the intro riff... then it kind of sounded like a Franz Ferdinand song when the lyrics came in... then it kind of sounded like a White Stripes song... and it ultimately sounded like a Finger Eleven song... So i guess that a good thing. You dont sound like any one band that I can think of... besides Finger Eleven... but they're not really way mainstream.

The guitar licks ARE a bit repetetive... but the sound is overall good. You have all the elements to have a solid band! It sounds like you can write decent stuff... and thats a plus to any possible record companies. So I would give your band an over all 3.5/5. I think it could easliy get a 4 or 4.5 from me if the guitar licks were a little more worked out and not repetetive. Godd job though! Keep at it

i think the feelings mutual about the singer- hes got a nice voice.

about your myspace songs.
No Tomorrow- as it starts, the rythem defintaly catches you and the vocals hold you. twas great. solo was pretty good. hmm i love the vocals. majorly.

headrush- same as the others with the lead. the rest of the guitars are cool, but the little blues turn after the repeated notes doesnt suit the song at all, i dont like it. the solo was very basic- just a blues/pentatonic run. almost sounds improvised. i would like a nice technical solo.

VagabondFutures- i liked the phasor type effect in the beggining. it just lacked something, donno. i might be a bit picky with that one. another great vocal work. nice harmonies in the chorus.

words- pretty good. i liked it. not much to critique.

good solid band. incredible vocals. thats a definate plus. i would say 4 outta 5 overall. find yourself a good record deal!

This has already been said but I'll say it anyway. All the lead guitar licks are repetitive. Try keeping the main melody that you have, but try putting some changes into them.

Other than that I must say I really like your stuff. Good lead singer, good lyrics and good music. 4/5.

You guys rock! Rollicking, catchy hard rock with tasteful arrangement and good instrumentation (your drummer kicks ass!). The lyrics weren't exactly to my taste, but they suited the mood of the songs. I'll go through them one by one.

"No Tomorrow" - Probably your least polished song. The arrangement needs some fine-tuning (particularly the intro) and the lyrics were a bit 2-D, but the singer's voice was excellent, as were the bass and the guitars. 3/5.

"Neon Lights" - A great little chorus-oriented song that lost momentum around the middle. Try shortening the breakdown and the guitar solo. 3.5/5.

"Omar Road" - Lyrically, I found this track the most appealing, and it was also very good musically. The beat was catchy yet articulate in its execution, and the arrangement was tastefully mosh-worthy. A good song. 4/5.

"Words" - A killer track! The guitars were at their best, and the singing was great (I'd replace the little high-pitched grunt that comes before the guitar solo, though). 4.5/5.

Very promising overall.

If at first you don't succeed, you are obviously not Chuck Norris.

Overall I liked the songs. Yeah in some parts the lead gets a little repetitive which is ok once in a while but don't let it become habit ;) I also like the singers voice, hard to explain but he just has that sound.

Omar Road and Words were my favs. Out of curiousity how long have you guys been playing?

Best of luck to you :)
