classic Gibson sound
can any of you guys out there advise me on how to get a really good sound out of a Gibson Les Paul studio through a fender amp at low volume?

set your tone controls at halfway (5), turn your guitar tone controls to 10 and your volumes to 10 and flip the pickup switch to the neck (bassier of the two pickups). This is the rhythm pickup.
Now at the 12 fret start playing pents and blues scales. You can add a little distortion and you might want to roll off a little treble.
Hey presto magic Gibson tone !
