How can i mute my strings without my palm of my picking hand
i want to use a "Decaying" unit

the Jaguar Mute is just on/off there is no Gray area to get inbetween on and off

How can i add a mute device to my strat?

What materials can i use under the strings so i can mute them?

How can i get different "decays" from muting the strings?

There's always the groovy hair braid trick:

Not only excellent for partially muting strings, but great when recording leads to stop other strings from ringing on.

You can use a noise gate to help in a sense. Also try using your fretting hand to mute the strings, with your pinky finger. Other than that you will probably just have to experiment.
I am a constant evolving music machine. Oh Man, I just forgot what I was playing. Oh well, on to the next song.

The hairtie idea was pure ****ing genious. Even better is I got my wife to try to market some kickass ones with a more masculine flair to them. You know its more like a thin wrist band with a Skull & crossbones thing going on.

How would i do this Electronically? having a muting effect electronically?

When i mute the strings with my palm i get different decays of the strings and its makes different reverb jarring springy sounds

How can i do this electronically or mechanically?
