Not my thing either. However, if you want to chat, their is a thread called chat. Do a search for it, find it and keep it alive. ;)

It takes a long time to get good at solos man.

check out Lyle Ronglien's lessons here:

http://www.harmony-central.com/Guitar/Riff

I found them very helpful when I was first learning. Check out the improvising for beginners ones they are really good. Be quick as you can only access each lesson for free for a limited time, otherwise you have to pay to see the old lessons :(
