a little car help needed

Iv got a old MG midget and the brakes gave up the other day, just got round to fixing them 2day and discovered the the cylinder in the rear brake drum is broken and needs replacing, the problem is i cant get the drum off its solid stuck on anyone know how to get it off i been hitting it with a hammer all day and nothings happened
why does stuf have to brake :mad:

If you are sure that everything needed to take it off has been removed, I would try some WD-40, then try and take it out and see if that helps.

lol im on the verge of doing that lol, wd-40 did nothing its still solid as a rock time to bring out a bigger hammer i think

jk, I knew you meant to say "break" but I just found it kinda funny and ironic that you were talking about a car's brakes, then you misspelled that.. so it sounded like you were asking why you needed brakes.. sorry.. I'm wierd.. I'll stop now

This is a forum with a high number of members in the USA. l would guess that the MG Midget is not too well known there :D
