ok, everyone told me in my last thread, that all i need to know are the "basics of theory".. well what exacley are the basics? is there a site that covers the basics? or could someone fill me in..

i know my post are geting annoying by now, and im sorry.

Your Basics would be finding the key of the song, basic chord construction and time signitures. All which are covered here but you might need high bandwidth. Try doing a search in the tricks section.

I've always been fond of telling people to study their intervals and to learn how they effect scales and chords as a beginning study. In the scale world I'd say learn the major scale as well as you can and in the chord world I'd say learn your triads as well as you can.

No, sorry that's a triplet. :D A triad is a chord made out of three different notes. A C E is a formula for a triad.

Exactly. A-C-E is a minor triad, and A-C#-E is a major triad.

Are power chords triads? I know they usually have three notes but they have an octave so I was just wondering or in turn are all triads power chords?
