Spirit in the Sky
Ok, the crunch fuzz disorto intro was easy. The next bit is the tough one. It is the bonging ascending bell tone "riff" we are trying to emulate. I asked Norman Greenbaum and as doesn't own all the rights to the recording so he couldn't tell me. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't even know the song, but I know you can get sort of a bell sound by pulling one string over another and fretting it high up on the neck. For example, pull the low E string up away from the fretboard and flip it over the A string. Fret both strings somewhere high up on the neck to hold them in place, and play them. I hope that helps somewhat.

Turn off one of your pickups. Rock the selector switch back and forth to interrupt the signal as you slide a double-stop 'down' toward the headstock.
