low e sounds flat...

when i hit my low e string it sounds flat, altho it is in tune. i cant tell when i am playing cords, but when i am playin notes, and then hit low e open, you can hear it, and i get a funny look form whoever im playing with. I have a ibanez with a floyd rose. its in my sig (BTW, how do i get the pic in my sig, i tryed [img] tags but not workin)

The intonation is probably out, or if the string is old it might be causing it as well.

I believe images are disabled/aren't allowed in the signature area.

to set intonation, i hit the string open, and then use my 12th fret harmonics and the both should register in tune correct?

I don't use harmonics. Just simply the open string and the same note at the 12th fret.
I am a constant evolving music machine. Oh Man, I just forgot what I was playing. Oh well, on to the next song. :rolleyes:
