I've named three outa nine. All Yamahas, as it happens....
"Brand X" is my first black 1984 Yamaha SBG1000. I bought it new on the day I went downtown to buy a Gibson Les Paul Custom. The LP lost badly on a 1-2-1 camparo. Since then, Brand X has been the standard all others are measured against. In 1986, I installed a DiMarzio Dual Sound at the bridge, a DiMarzio SCHB at the neck, modified the coil-taps to give me series/parallel selection, and added a phase switch.
I bought a second black 1984 Yamaha SBG1000 a couple of years ago on eBay. I called it "The Stocker" to differentiate it from Brand X. After a few months, I installed a DiMarzio Tone Zone at the bridge, a DiMarzio PAF Pro at the neck, and modded the switching just like Brand X. So now this one is called "The Stalker".
I call my Yamaha RBG350 bass "Thumper Thudpucker" because I thought that was funny.
