my arm stopped working!?

last saturday I practiced so much, that i couldnt move my left arm at all. i freaked out and tried to get it to move but i just couldnt. the next day my arm was fine, and i could play again. i was just wondering if this happened to anyone else here. i going to see my doctor soon to see if i have any serious injuries or muscle problems going on. i hope not, because playing giutar is all i got....

Could just have been a build up of lactic acid... happens when you push yourself too far. Not a good idea to play past the burn on the guitar man, you can end up damaging your tendons. My sister had to get shots into the tendons on her wrist (ended up getting a gangleon) after she did her instructors exams... not a pleasent experience. By all means get it checked out to make sure it's not neurological. If not, just take more breaks between playing!
