Helo all.

Im in a crisise. I've been playing for 2 years. Im a lead guitarist/vocals for my band. Now my problem is: i can tell in what key a song is being played and or if a key is played, what keys can get played over it.

Plz if someone can get back to me please do so and help me know this stuff.
I play Metallica and Children of Bodom, but i dont know S**t about thoery.

Thanks

You basically just need to figure out the parent scale that all the notes you are using belong to.

Try looking up diatonic harmony on google... it'll help you out loads for this....

Find a real teacher and take some lessons. That is the fastest and most effiect way to learn.... also more expensive than Google but worth it in my view.

After reading that I am very concerned..... What are you tring to say?

What are lessons if they are not just "a little help?"

If you have had lessons and you don't know the basic "sh!t" of theory then you got robbed. Real lessons would cover basic theory and you wouldn't be wasting your time with me.

Anyone named "Jamrock School of Rock" wouldn't be able to help you much. Call Steve Kimock..... he'll tell you the same thing I have.
