This is frustrating...

I've tried and tried to play tab, but it never sounds right. I'll give you an example of what I do...

B|-----
G|--10-
D|--10-
A|--8--
E|----- I play that with my first finger on the second-biggest string on
the 8th fret and with my second and third fingers on the D and G
strings on the 10th fret. Isn't that right or did I seriously misread
something? This is kind of embarassing. :o

You can play it like that... more than likely the 10th fret is barred.
ie, it's a barred F power chord.

Use ur First finger on the second-biggest string, 8 fret... and use ur third finger to bar both the 10th frets.... hehehe :)

What they said... They know this but you may not, you only play the three strings..

i'd play it with you index finger at the 8th fret on the A string, ring finger at the 10th fret on the D string. and your pinky on the other string at the 10th fret.

id play wit my index on the 8th fret... and my second on both 10 frets...cant really use my ring finger to hold 2 strings down at once...still need to build strength..but im fine with the middle finger...although i kinda need to stretch a tad bit
